This is an easy to grow bulb, forming clumps of attractive, narrow, grey-green leaves.  In Summer it produces beautiful, lavender-purple star shaped flowers on slender stems.  It is an ideal plant for borders, cottage gardens or mixed garden beds.  It also makes an excellent container specimen.  Plant in full sun to part shade in moist, well drained soil.
