Providing good practical water plant information is the key to our success

At Oz Watergardens, we believe that it is important to provide the best water plant information to help people make the best decisions about their ponds. We strive to keep not only ourselves up to date with what is going on, but also our clients and their customers.

As Australia's largest wholesale producer of waterlilies and ornamental pond plants, we have set the benchmark as the preferred supplier to the industry. We are members of the Nursery and Garden Industry of Victoria. Independent research has found that we are recognised as the main source of water plant information that people look to for guidance and advice.

Oz Watergardens is currently working with the Nursery Industry and the Department of Primary Industries to update their databases. The aim is to help people understand how to recognise aquatic weeds and what they should do to help control the risk of potential aquatic weeds.

We also work with other businesses that back their products and that have a proven record in the aquatic plant industry. Though communicating what we learn, we hope to help pass on the most relevant water plant information. By letting people know what is happening or what we are doing, they can get a better feel or understanding about who we are and also how we try to help them.

TV demonstrations

Darryl (from Oz Watergardens) recently spent the day filming with Margot MacDonald from "The Garden Tap", an entertaining gardening show produced for Channel 31 in Melbourne. Again, the emphasis was to provide water plant information through a segment focusing on pond maintenance.

Working with Margot was a most enjoyable experience and we hope that we might be able to work with her again in the future.

Award winning gardens achieved with Oz Watergardens

A regular supporter of the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show, Oz Watergardens is very proud to have worked with Phil Johnson to help create an inspirational and award winning "Habitat" show garden.

Oz Watergardens has set the benchmark and is the preferred supplier to the industry. Darryl Hoogeboom (above) and his Team were very excited by the fact that 2 out of 3 of the gold medallists, as well as Best in Show, incorporated their plants into the winning water feature designs.

Over the past few years Oz Watergardens has supportedmany of the Award winning displays. But this year we made a more substantial commitment and are proud of the result. What was even more pleasing, was that Jason Hodges (also a gold medallist), while on ABC radio, described the "Habitat" landscape as one that should be given as a gift to Melbourne.
